Why did you take the specialist training Reference & Master Data?

This training covers a topic that comes up very, very often. Being able to manage reference and master data properly is one of the qualities you need, and it is also one of the topics where many mistakes are made. It looks simple, but doing it well is a challenge.

My next specialist training is on the use of metadata. Metadata used to steer processes is strongly on the rise, for example when you want to personalise something.

I first took the Fundamentals training to be able to put things in context, and I am now taking a number of specialist trainings. Because of its direct applicability, I picked the Reference & Master Data training first."

Why did you choose Connected Data Academy? "I had already taken the Fundamentals training and was very enthusiastic, especially about the trainers. They have earned their stripes in this field and really add depth. They invite discussions, and that is what I like most. I can also pick up knowledge from a book, but talking to peers who view a question differently because of their different background is where I learn the most."

What did you think of the quality of the Reference & Master Data specialist? "The training gives you a good insight into the complexity that comes with this topic. It saves you from mistakes. I was also very enthusiastic about the trainer again. He gives the theoretical knowledge a practical edge by discussing issues out loud. In my view they could add a bit more theoretical depth on reference and master data to the training, for example by recommending a few specific books. Then it would be absolutely top."
